Matt Damon graced the cover of the August issue of Esquire, and at the same time told the publication about the secret of his "unpopular" personal life and why he is happier than Brad Pitt.
As you know, Damon and Pitt - old friends (colleagues are not times and met on the set - to take at least three of the "Ocean's Twelve"). When it comes to the celebrity status of his friend, Matt admits - Brad and he is suffering from this kind of attention to yourself:
When you can control the very "star" of his "star of life" - it's worth it. I look at Brad - and I do it for the past few years - and I see a very different side of the coin. And the paparazzi and their level of aggression, and a willingness to break the law to invade his personal space - and I think what is really price.
I remember saying to him that I see off their children to school and it just hung. He was very nice, but, you know, he seemed to be saying: "This is a scoundrel." Because he, too, should be able to do this. But it is not.
Matt'm glad not married to actress or any other celebrity. Share your personal life with the tabloids - not for him. Therefore, as stated by the actor, outrageous antics of the paparazzi did not wait for him:
I was lucky that I fell in love with an ordinary woman - not an actress and, more importantly, not a famous actress. Because then you do not have to focus just doubled - it grows exponentially. Because in this case, all of a sudden have to be in your bed.
But I do not give them a lot of material. If I'm riding on the bar, do not set fire to anything and I do not change my wife - a good story will not work. They can take me into the bank, but will always see the same thing: a middle-aged married man with four children. And as long as the story does not change, the interest in it will not be.
Quiet and measured personal life with minimal media attention does not prevent Matt's career. In late May, the Cannes premiere of the TV drama "Over the candelabra" where Damon played the young lover of Michael Douglas' character - pianist Liberace. And soon, the screens go three more projects with the actor: fiction movies "Elysium" and "Zero Theorem" and the drama "Heritage Keepers" - director of the film, by the way, was made by another friend of Matt, George Clooney.
