Jason Statham told The Guardian how he prepared his role in Crazy Joe. He plays a drunk character in several scenes.

Jason Statham plays Joey Jones Crazy Joe, a thriller that tells the story of a war veteran homeless trying to regain control of his life on the streets London.

The actor aged 45 plays drunkenness in several scenes and told how he had slipped into the skin of the character before turning these sequences. "40 years of preparation for this, man!, He joked in the British newspaper The Guardian. No, it's difficult because you can not be drunk and who knows what stupid behavior you can take when you are. I think if someone was filming you, you'd probably be embarrassed and you would drink again! It's hard to try to play this kind of behavior that you do not really know what you are doing. But hey, you have an idea. You must have some form of insurance in venturing on uncharted territory. "

Jason Statham is known for his roles as thugs in films like Revolve, Snatch, The Expendables and Lock, Stock and botanical. So he found particularly refreshing to play a different character in Crazy Joe. "It's so different from what I normally do. Many characters I've played before are heroic or somehow invincible and do not know the fear, anxiety and suffering, he said. It was not different to the point of causing an upset. I felt that it still reflected some of my strengths and it was light years ahead of a character that I could consider to interpret a day. "

Meanwhile, Jason Statham was recently seen playing with a group of female fans in New York this weekend. The star had started her Friday night in Dorrian's Red Hand Restaurant on the Lower East Side. "They had to carry him to his room at the Waldorf-Astoria because it was completely torn," reported a source in the New York Daily News. "He was drunk as ever and interpellait girls," said another witness.
Jason Statham will star in Crazy Joe on July 10th.
